Jorge Cruise Belly Fat Cure

Jorge Cruise is a health expert and author whose specialty is helping busy people get and stay in shape. His qualifications include fitness credentials from the American College of Sports Medicine and the American Council on Exercise. Cruise’s book "Belly Fat Cure" outlines a program that is designed to help people cut down on their stored belly fat, with a goal of losing 4 to 9 pounds each week.

Insulin Control

Cruise’s Belly Fat Cure plan centers on keeping insulin levels low by eating a balanced amount of sugar and carbohydrates. The plan involves eating no more than 15 grams of sugar and six portions of carbohydrates per day. Six portions of carbohydrates equates up to 120 grams of carbs per day. Try to reduce or eliminate processed carbohydrates like baked goods, white breads, candies and pastas, which can alter your natural hormone levels. Processed carbohydrates and sugars have a negative effect on the body’s insulin production, causing fluctuations in blood sugar levels, stagnant belly fat and feelings of sluggishness.
Eat lean meats and good fats while cutting out milk and fruit drinks. Cruise suggests using almond milk and Uncle Sam cereal as a way to get good carbohydrates and avoid excess sugar during breakfast. Read the labels on food products to calculate how much sugar you are eating, and make sure that your portions are in keeping with the suggested serving sizes. Look for sugar-free substitutes in some of your favorite snacks and recipes, but avoid artificial sweeteners. Instead, use natural sweeteners like Stevia, PureVia or Truvia. Cruise also suggests soda substitutes such as Zevia, and Clemmy’s brand ice cream instead of brands such as Haagen-Dazs.

Avoid processed carbohydrates.

Exercise

Cruise recommends exercise for increased muscle tone and stress reduction, but not as a means to weight loss. Exercise can be added to the Belly Fat Cure plan once dieters are familiar with the diet regimen and have successfully lost the majority of their belly fat. Sticking to The Belly Fat Cure plan will maintain your weight and control your fat retention while incorporating exercise to aid your general health, strength and well-being.
