How To Lose Those Extra 5 Pounds in 5 Weeks

Isn’t it disappointing when you just found out that your favorite jeans don't fit you anymore? Maybe it’s about time that you re-assess your situation and try to evaluate the food you eat. And maybe it’s about time that you put yourself under a weight loss program. However, you don’t have to pay much if you want to lose weight. Even just by yourself, you can lose five pounds in just five weeks. Now, this might seem as a rather unachievable goal. But if you are committed to losing those extra pounds, then you can try the following simple tips on how to lose that extra five pounds in a matter of weeks:
  1. Evaluate your present situation. Before going into a weight loss program on your own, it would be best if you evaluate your situation first. Try to see what your present diet is and see if which of them have high calorie contents. This will give you the idea of what will be your diet for the next five weeks. By doing so, you can also save enough money by refraining from buying those foods that only adds up unnecessary pounds in your body.
  2. Start right, do it right. Mark your calendar beginning from the day you started your program. It would be better if you cross out each day as you go along your way. Moreover, it is advisable that you prepare a list of your menu for the preceding weeks. In this way, you will be able to monitor your weekly calorie intake.
  3. Exercise daily. Along with your strictly scheduled diet, you also need to exercise daily. A quick mile-run around your neighborhood or 15-minute brisk walking will do. Any routine which allows you to sweat yourself and burn that extra calories that have accumulated in your body. If your schedule allows you to, try visiting a nearby public pool within your area if there is any. Many believe that swimming is one of the best forms of exercise because it gets all your body parts working, thereby, burning all the extra calories you don’t need. Visiting a nearby gym could also help. But don’t overwork yourself to avoid experiencing unnecessary injuries that could affect your program.
  4. Have discipline. It is also important that you have discipline and follow your program strictly. Occasional calorie intake might not give you any harm but if you subconsciously do it often, then you just defeat the objective of your weight loss program. Do not give in to your cravings for you will only end up stuck in your original weight. Instead of satiating your cravings for foods with high calorie content like chocolates and other sweets, why don’t you try deserts and snacks with low calories like yogurt and fruit shake? This allows you to eat delicious yet healthy foods.
Losing five pounds in five weeks might seem to be an impossible program to realize for you, especially if you have gotten used to certain unhealthy diets and practices. However, if you try to be disciplined yourself, you might see yourself slowly losing those unnecessary weights in your body. Just think of your favorite jeans if you won’t be able to realize that goal of loosing five pounds in five weeks. Isn’t it satisfying to know that you can already wear your favorite jeans again and all the other clothing you have in your closet that didn’t fit you before?
