- Alcoholic beverages tend to be quickly converted to belly fat. If you drink alcoholic beverages frequently, reducing your consumption can have a dramatic affect on your amount of belly fat. Alcoholic beverages are liquid, so it is easier to consume excessive calories and sugars.
